Family Activities

Saint Laurence's organises a bi-monthly Catholic Family afternoon together with occasional additional seasonal events, which provide the opportunity for Catholic families to meet up, pray and play together.

Increasingly as life becomes more pressured and as they move on to school, children and their parents have tended to lose touch with the Catholic friends they have made at toddler groups. These afternoons are designed to foster those relationships, to provide the opportunity for children to play and pray together, and for both mothers and fathers to forge and strengthen friendships with other Catholic parents.

Family afternoons are held on Saturdays in the Parish Room, starting at 2pm and finishing at 4pm, with a range of games and a seasonal activity. Dates for the next couple of meetings are advertised on the church notice board, or contact Karen on familyactivities@saintlaurence.org.uk.

Also once a month is the Mum's prayer group meeting at the Dominican convent at 155 Huntingdon Road. We meet up at the kind invitation of Sister Valery to say the rosary together and to have a chat. The children have a great time playing with each other (and with Sr Valery!). All welcome. Contact Karen for further details.

Catholic Families Mailing List

This exists to provide Catholic families with information that they may find useful, especially but not exclusively about things on in and around Cambridge. Contributions to the list come from anyone who knows of anything likely to be of interest to families locally, and goes out to anyone who wishes to subscribe.
