Justice and Peace Group

St. Laurence's Justice and Peace group (J & P) was started in October 2000. It is part of the Diocesan J & P Network which exists to co-ordinate and encourage work for justice and peace within the Catholic dioceses of England and Wales.

St. Laurence's group believes that working for justice and peace in our parish, city, country and globally, is integral to being a Christian and is central to the life of the Church. It endeavours to work through prayer, education and action on behalf of prisoners of conscience, asylum seekers, the developing world, the environment etc. and campaigns against the arms trade, violence and war.
